In most cases, the sealant is pressurized, so you simply need to remove the cap and connect the bottle to the valve on the wheel. 1. Follow the directions on the can of sealant. If necessary, attempt to locate and pull out the object that has punctured your tire. And then unscrew your valve cap and attach the nozzle of the product to the tire valve stem and press a button to release the contents.

2. Loosen lug nuts with a tire wrench with the car on the ground. And lift up the car with a jack at the jacking point. Remove the lug nuts and pull the wheel off the hub. Examine the tire for foreign objects like rocks or nails. Pull out any object with a pair of pliers and mark the spot with chalk or markers. Apply the soapy mixture to the surface of the tire.

3. Locate the rasp tool contained in the tire plug kit and insert it into and out of the hole quickly. This tool will clean and roughen the area so the fix will stick. Fill the plug and with cement from the kit. Use the insertion tool to place the plug into the hole. Allow the adhesive to dry for at least a minute, and then cut away the excess plug material from the tire surface.

4. Pump air into the tire and check that the tire is at the correct air pressure and then apply some soap mixture onto the plugged hole to check the seal to make sure it is holding, and lastly, put the tire back on the hub and tighten the lug nuts using a star pattern.
